God has been faithful to Sharon Baptist Church blessing us with a rich history of fruitful ministry spanning almost 7 decades since its first gathering in 1951. The church was named by one of our charter members referencing the "Rose of Sharon" found in scripture, which paints a picture of life and vitality in the Lord. On the banks of the Tennessee River, this picture is accurate both of the surrounding landscape and also, with the Lord's help, of the people of God and ministry at SBC throughout its history.

In the Lord's goodness, we believe he is causing the ministry of Sharon Baptist Church to flourish today by reaching people with the gospel and transforming lives from the inside out.  God has put together a church family from across our community that loves Jesus, loves one another, and wants to serve our community. We believe the gospel that saves is the gospel that also changes us and makes us more like Jesus.

As we make it our mission to make disciples, we want to reach our community, Savannah, TN, with the gospel. Just like any community, Savannah needs Jesus and we want to be a part of God's mission here.

We believe God will be faithful in the future as he has been in the past, and will sustain us and equip us to fulfill his mission of spreading the gospel to a world that needs to know him!
