The mission of Sharon Baptist Church is to make disciples of Jesus who gather under the gospel, grow in the gospel, go with the gospel.

Jesus, the mighty Son of God, says to us: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matt 11:28).” Jesus calls needy, broken sinners to come, just as we are, and be his disciples. He promises to lift the burden of our sin and teach us to live new lives to God’s glory. This life-transforming relationship with Jesus, all by his grace, is what we want more than anything at Sharon Baptist Church. We pursue it through a simple, three-step process:

Gather under the Gospel
Each Sunday, we gather with our fellows disciples to worship the God who has rescued us in Christ. Through singing, prayer, and the preaching of God’s Word, we give glory to our gracious God, encourage one another to keep believing the gospel, and our own faith is strengthened to follow Jesus into a new week. We would love for you to join us for our Sunday morning worship gathering at 10:15, or watch one of our past services here.

Grow in the Gospel
We need more than a weekly worship gathering for the gospel to take root in our lives: we need strong, loving relationships with other disciples, where we can both give and receive the encouragement we all need to follow Jesus through all the ups and downs of life in this world. We offer several opportunities to grow in the gospel with smaller groups of believers through our Sunday School ministry, men’s ministry, and women’s ministry.

Go with the Gospel
As Jesus changes our lives, he calls us to join him in his own burden-lifting, joy-giving, disciple-making mission. The Bible teaches that Jesus has uniquely gifted every single Christian to be effective in the work of ministry, and it’s our joy to help each member at SBC discover where they fit into His plans.

So where are you in this discipleship process? Jesus meets each of us exactly where we are. Let us help you take your next step with Him, whatever that may be!
